THE SPAAA SINGERS
The Society for the Preservation of the African American Arts (SPAAA)
singers, created by Barry O. Foreman with the goal of reviving and
exposing African American slave songs and Negro spirituals which
helped shape the African American culture. Angela Foreman, Jamiliah
Marshall and
Barry Foreman (The SPAAA singers) who live in Salisbury, Maryland
have been performing for the past 14 years. The singers have given
presentations at the Old Princess Anne Days-Princess Anne Md., The
historic Avalon theater-Easton MD., The Chipman Cultural Center-
Salisbury MD., Fort McHenry-Baltimore MD., Hampton Historical site-
Baltimore MD. Montpelier Mansion-Laurel MD., as well as various
churches, Colleges, University's and Elementary schools throughout the
state of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.
